KASEY'S INTERIM TRIP TO HONG KONG

This year Kasey chose Hong Kong for her interim semester destination. The course was called an "Extreme Eco Challenge", and took place on two of Hong Kong's outlying islands. The students were introduced to the sport of adventure racing, and participated in mountain biking, kayaking, orienteering, rock climbing, abseiling, and ropes challenge skills. The course taught skills such as teamwork, communication and leadership skills, as well as environmental awareness. The students conducted an environmental case study of Hong Kong's first windmill power station and helped with an environmental reforestation project in the Lamma Forest. Kasey enjoyed the trip (all but the "squatty potties") and came home exhausted! :)

That looks like a pretty steep climb to me!

The Eskimo Joes pic, of course!

Beautiful scenery
