FIRST THANKSGIVING IN SINGAPORE!

Thanksgiving has come and gone, and I'm embarassed to say that I forgot to take any pictures! I was probably too busy stuffing my face. :) We invited three families to join us for Thanksgiving, and celebrated on Saturday this year instead of Thursday since all the dads had to work on Thursday.(no vacation days for American Thanksgiving around here) The ping pong table served as our dining table, and we even had a DVD showing a roaring fireplace with Christmas music! haha! I made it a point not to step outside all day long, so as not to ruin my holiday mood by sweating. :) We ordered a turkey from the school caterer b/c I was afraid I wouldn't be able to fit a big bird in my little Easy-Bake oven! It was delicious, as was everything else. My sister sent pecans to me so I was able to make a pecan pie (thank you Mary Ann!), and my friend Jody even found some fresh cranberries at an expat grocery store and made some fresh cranberry sauce for us! Boy were we thankful! Wesley started his day off by going wakeboarding (ok that would never happen back home!), and we were able to see Shelby's family on the webcam which was really amazing, and a bit emotional for some of us. It was a festive occasion, and we were all so very grateful to be able to spend the day together with new friends this year.
