CHIANG MAI - FLIGHT OF THE GIBBONS AND MAE KOMPONG WATERFALL

We trekked the Mae Kompong Waterfall after lunch and it was a steep hike but very beautiful and the water was freezing cold!

This is one of our Flight of the Gibbon guides, "Mr. B"

Check out the "brakes" in Wes and Shelby's hands-they are made of bamboo and we used them to slow ourselves down as we approached the platform. Mr. B was constantly yelling "brake, brake!" and getting run into.

The highlight of the week was our rainforest adventure called "Flight of the Gibbon". It is a zipline canopy tour through the 1500 year old rainforest outside of Chiang Mai. We zipped through the treetops like monkeys, some of us(Kasey and Nora) screaming! It was wildly exciting, yet we felt completely safe and secure as we were harnessed in at all times. We rode front facing, backwards, and Wesley even zipped while hanging upside down!
